1 in 3 women (compared to 1 in 13 men) will experience intimate partner, domestic or family violence. The right to be free from violence and abuse is a basic human right, yet violence against women continues, affecting individuals (including many of our clients) and the wider community. #orangetheworld #16days #16daysincanberra #vaw

We stand with members of our community who are currently doing it tough. 3 million Australians live below the poverty line, including 750,000 children. 36% of people who receive social security payments live below the poverty line. Canberra Community Law works with vulnerable people in our community to assist them in accessing social security payments and social housing. #apw2017 #antipovertyweek2017 #antipovertyweek #antipoverty
